All of the companies above send their POS data to NPD who collects, compiles, aggregates and publishes the data. This is the data that is used to realize optimal benefit from Category Management process.
These nine major auto parts retailers and wholesalers share data and are currently reporting weekly sales for most categories in the store. Reports are available from NPD on its in-front-of-the-counter categories as well as select Hard Parts Categories. Work is now underway to release the remaining Hard Parts Categories.
Committee and Members
Standing committees primarily meet two times a year in conjunction with AAIA Leadership Days in the spring and fall, throughout the U.S., to provide direction and develop plans for the association. Some committees may meet an additional time and/or schedule various conference calls/Webinars.
